According to community inputs, this injury is completely different from achilles tendonitis. Its symptoms, however, are fairly similar. Unlike the achilles tendonitis, achilles paratendonitis is the inflammation in the tissues around the achilles tendon. The only difference is that you should not do exercises because it will only inflame it more.
